The US- based animal rights group called People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals attacked the Muslim based tradition of killing goats during the Eid celebrations. The animal rights group came under fire after it found an inaccurate video on a social media platform showing a truck that is dragging a dead goat whole another young goat walking alongside it.
The group said that such a clip was heartbreaking to see. It said that the animals did not need to die for them if they wanted to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr and instead they could choose to have a vegan holiday.
Although the animal rights group confused its post between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, which is known as the festival of sacrifice, the post still managed to get nearly 30,000 likes and it was also retweeted more than 18,000 times. The Muslim followers of the group however asked to remove the post marking it as a misleading post.
