One person was killed while three others were injured after a gunman open fired a synagogue in California. The victim, Lori Kaye was shot in her head and died in a nearby hospital. The three others who were injured were admitted to a hospital but were discharged later. One of the victims named Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein was shot in her hand while she was in the synagogue to offer a prayer for her mother.
Rabbi described Lori Kaye, the victim who lost life to be the best example of kindness to the fullest extent. She also said that she knew Kaye for the past 25 years; her death meant a huge loss of a great soul for the community.
Rabbi who was also injured described the reporters about the chilling moment when she came face to face with the gunman.
The main question that everyone is curious to know is who the attacker is and how he has been caught. The gunman named as John Earnest was caught shortly after the attack. He is only 19 years old and officials said that he was a student from the Cal State University San Marcos and he attended high school from Mount Carmel.
Referring to the attack, President Donald Trump termed it as an attack for a hate crime. However, the president has also praised the efforts made by law enforcement to get the attacker caught as soon as possible. He offered his condolences to those who were affected by the attack.
