Taliban Makes New Team for New Negotiations in Qatar

The Taliban of Afghanistan has created a new team comprising of 14 members for the peace negotiations. This took place ahead of a fresh set of peace talks to be held with the United States envoy. This new round is scheduled to take place in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The Taliban issued a statement in which they stated that the chief negotiator will be Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanakzai and he will be leading the representative delegation from the extremist group.

The negotiating team of Taliban will be holding talks with Zalmay Khalilzad, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation. The meeting is scheduled to take place on the 25th of February in Qatar.
