The ties between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan are cordial and strong. They are also of vital importance as well for several reasons, according to analysts and officials from Pakistan. Those officials have also stated that the ties of Pakistan with the UAE and the other Gulf Cooperation Council nations cannot be compromised. They also expressed hopes that these ties will grow stronger soon.
There have been many occasions in which the founding president of the UAE, His Highness Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, visited Pakistan. In Pakistan, there are several photos of Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan that are revered by the government. In fact, according to Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, Pakistanis have a lot of respect, affection and love for the rulers of the UAE and for their generous nature. The relation between the two nations is not only strong but also strategic. It has been estimated that around 1.6 million people from Pakistan live and work in the UAE. It is considered to be the largest Pakistani expat community of the world. Annually, the total remittance generated by the expat community comes to around $433.42 million or Dh1.59 billion every year.
At the same time, there are many people in the private sector of Pakistan who have invested in the real estate sector of Dubai. It has been estimated that UAE has invested around $3 billion in Pakistan.
To eliminate any issues and concerns, talks are going be held between Pakistan and the various Gulf Cooperation Council nations soon.
